Kodiak Oil & Gas (AMEX:KOG) shares are down after quarterly sales fell short. KOG’s 7,195 of barrels of oil equivalent per day missed its own guidance of 7500-8000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. For the full-year, Kodiak also came up short, selling 3,922 barrels of oil equivalent per day versus guidance of 4500-5000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. However, quarterly sales were up 422% year-over-year and up 82% quarter-over-quarter.

Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK) created $17 per share of value in 2011, while natural gas prices decreased 40%, according to its most recent presentation. The $17 per share value creation of 2011 is not too far from CHK’s entire current share price of $21.70, but shares have also fallen over 20% in the last year.
ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) has agreed for $223 million, to sell its non-operating oil and gas interests in the Statfjord field to Centrica PLC (CPYYY.PK), parent company of British Gas.
Nabors Industries (NYSE:NBR) could be a takeover candidate. Currently it tops the S&P 500 on this notion.
Magnum Hunter (NYSE:MHR) increased https://wallstcheatsheet.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=155952&action=editits estimated 2012 exit rate to 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and in December, Magnum had increased this to 14,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day from its original 13,000. Production increases were also noted in the Bakken, Eagle Ford and Marcellus/Utica shales.
