Energy Business Brief: Clean Energy Fuels Grows, Chevron Takes a Vow

Chevron (NYSE:CVX) vows to continue to try to overturn an $18 billion judgment for the spilling of chemicals into the Amazon basin in Ecuador. The company is also pursuing arbitration in The Hague and Chevron’s options include appealing to the Supreme Court.

EnerNOC (NASDAQ:ENOC) margins and sales could be adversely effected after shares implode because power wholesaler PJM files a request with the Federal Energy Regulator Commission.

Clean Energy Fuels (NASDAQ:CLNE) says it increased fueling station project completions by 50% year-over-year during 2011. It completed a total of 68 fueling station projects. They consisted of stations serving transit, refuse and airport, taxi and shuttle operations in 16 states, plus locations to support local and regional trucking and small fleets.

Pioneer Drilling (AMEX:PDC) gains after Morgan Keegan upgrades the stock to Outperform on valuation. The shares are poised for a breakout on the back of solid growth in production and drilling services.
