The digital entertainment industry buzzed on Monday after Coinstar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) announced a deal with Verizon (NYSE:VZ) to create a subscription service with streaming download options.  However, the attention is quickly shifting back to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), as more details about the iTV may have been leaked.

In a recent customer voice survey, Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) asked questions based on a hypothetical 42-inch Apple HDTV.  The survey included several details that may offer some hints to the new Apple iTV.

• 42-inch 1080p LED flat panel display
• Apple’s iOS included
• Download and use apps from the App Store
• Supports movies, TV shows and music content from iTunes
• Use your iPad or iPhone as a remote, including purchasing content
• Built-in convenience with iSight camera and microphone for Skype (NASDAQ:MSFT)
• In addition to iTunes, stream content from Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), YouTube (NASDAQ:GOOG) and flickr
• Available for $1,499

While it is extremely unlikely that Best Buy has revealed the true specs of an upcoming Apple iTV, it is a bit surprising they would fuel more speculation on the topic without including Apple’s Siri voice recognition feature.  Siri is powered by technology from Nuance Communications (NASDAQ:NUAN), and is the catalyst for Apple’s impressive iPhone 4S sales.  Ever since Siri was launched in the iPhone 4S, speculation grew about iTV being controlled via voice control.  However, the Best Buy customer survey fails to mention Siri, which should be the biggest indication that Best Buy is simply tossing more fuel on the Apple rumor fire.  It is also disturbing for Apple fans that the iTV would include convenience features for Skype, a Microsoft product, and not Apple’s own FaceTime.
