US Markets closed higher yesterday on news that spring break is in session. The resilience continues as negative economic data is ignored by the market.
Here are a few of today’s most active stocks trading pre-market:
1) Oxford Industries Inc. (NYSE:OXM): Shares of the international apparel designer are up $3.10 or 12.40% after announcing an 18% increase to its quarterly dividend. The company also reported a fiscal Q4 earnings surge on increased sales and a large gain on a sale from its Oxford Apparel operations.
2) Sealy Corp. (NYSE:ZZ): Shares of the mattress and bedding product manufacturer are down $0.13 or 4.68% after posting a fiscal Q1 loss coming from discontinued operations. The company also reported fewer sales and lower prices on their products.
3) Tibco Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TIBX): Shares of the independent provider of middleware and infrastructure software are down $1.37 or 5.22% on expected results. Fiscal Q1 earnings jumped 53% but investors were looking for a little more as investors are selling shares into the report.
4) Landec Corp. (NASDAQ:LNDC): Shares of the packaging company are down to $6.19 or 3% after issuing guidance for the fiscal year below analyst expectations. However, fiscal Q3 earnings rose 33%.
