Batman: Arkham Knight

Maybe it’s just the nostalgia talking, but it seems like video games used to come out when they were supposed to. Not anymore. It seems that in this console generation, video game delays are becoming an expected part of the development cycle. A ton of games that were slated for release but have been pushed back for a variety of reasons. What big upcoming games have been delayed? Read on to find out.

Batman: Arkham Knight

Original Release Date: October 2014
New Release Date: June 2, 2015

Batman has had a line of hit games lately, including Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Origins. The next installment in the series will feature all the bone-cracking combat we’ve come to expect, plus a hefty focus on driving the Batmobile to get around Gotham. The only problem? It’s been delayed until next year. Hopefully the extra eight months will help make it a better game, but it’s definitely going to miss the 2014 holiday selling season — which won’t please investors of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
