Windstream Corporation (NASDAQ:WIN) reported that their Consumer Broadband Service’s second quarter revenue is $114 million, up by 4%. Apparently, that was not what investors wanted.

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) is recalling about 1.3 million dishwashers after electrical failures sparked fires that caused “extensive” property damage. “Consumers should stop using these dishwashers, immediately, and disconnect the power,” Inez Moore Tenenbaum, chairman of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, said today at a Washington news conference.

Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR):  The stock finished up 15 percent Thursday as investors can’t buy enough after earnings.
