Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has intentions to dramatically expand the amount of stores it plans to allow to be opened in India over the next couple of years, according to The Times of India. Apple intends to triple the amount of “exclusive stores” in India by 2015, the report claims, adding that the company will have about 200 of those locations around India by 2015. Apple’s operation of its stores in India is different than in the U.S. In India, Apple has found 17 franchisees that operate stores that exclusively sell its products. These stores are referred to as Apple Premium Resellers, and they have been popular destinations for customers in India who want to buy the iPhone maker’s products.
