IMAX (NASDAQ:IMAX): Current price $22.72

The superior quality of imported films compared to domestic productions has led to a steady fall in the share of the latter in total Chinese box office revenues. From a share of 56% in 2010, domestic films accounted for 47.6% in 2012. An agreement in 2012 between the United States and China expanded the annual quota of imported films from 20 to 34. Significantly, 14 of the 34 would be in premium formats such as 3-D and IMAX. This is likely to be a boost for IMAX (NASDAQ:IMAX) fortunes in China where its format is already highly popular.
