According to insiders, AOL, Inc. is drastically changing their plans for Patch and are moving away from a human editor-centric model towards one where local suites are built to be community-organizing tools for their areas, Business Insider reports. There will be fewer editors for more sites, insiders add.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX): Current price $191.84

According to Bloomberg, in a complaint filed in a Federal Court in San Jose, CA., Netflix was sued by a shareholder who accused them of intentionally misrepresenting subscriber growth. Last July 3, Netflix Chief Executive Officer, Reed Hastings, posted on the company’s public Facebook page that monthly viewing exceeded 1 billion hours for the first time ever in June.

Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR):  Current price $54.63

Compass Point cut shares of Coinstar, Inc. from a buy rating to a neutral rating.

Dish Network Corp. (NASDAQ:DISH): Current price $36.31

Dish reported their fourth quarter revenue of $3.59 billion and a consensus $3.45B. The decrease in the full-year net income was due to higher subscriber-related expenses driven by programming costs and increased subscriber acquisition costs from higher gross additions as well as certain one-time items including the Voom litigation settlement expense. Additionally, the decrease in year-over-year net income was affected by the 2011 reversal of accrued expenses related to the company’s TiVo litigation.

Viacom, Inc. (NYSE:VIA): Current price $61.96

Viacom hopes that their first “TV Everywhere” authenticated app for flagship kids channel Nickelodeon, expected to be available in Apple’s App Store on Thursday, helps them revive the brand’s cache and provides a roadmap for other apps for properties like MTV and Comedy Central, according to the New York Times.
