AT&T has installed LTE-capable distributed antenna systems in four U.S. cities. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, coverage was extended at General Mitchell International Airport, Brookfield Square Mall and the city’s ballpark. In Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland, systems were installed in a number of arenas, airports, hospitals, and hotels. Also, the company installed a new system at the Detroit Marriott hotel. These investments are part of a three-year investment plan that the company has named Project Velocity IP, and it includes deploying over 10,000 macro sites, 1,000 of which are DAS projects, and 40,000 small cells.
