United Technologies Corporation’s (NYSE:UTX) Otis Elevator division reported the opening of a new LEED Gold standard facility in Chongqing (formerly Chungking), located in southwest China. The new factory possesses the capacity to make more than 15,000 elevator units annually and reinforces Otis’ extensive investment throughout the country, which has a market that currently comprises half of all its worldwide elevator sales.
