A reform bill in Mexico to further competition in the phone and TV markets was approved by a committee in the lower house of Congress with no changes, says Reuters. The reform aims to weaken the dominance of Carlos Slim’s America Movil and Grupo Televisa (NYSE:TV) and should be presented to the floor of Mexico’s lower house for a vote next week. Shares closed down 3.87 percent Friday at $18.62 and have been traded in a 52-week range of $18.73 to $28.47.
