Tuesday morning reports from New Jersey, as to electric utilities harshly impacted by the hurricane, indicate an estimated 10 million customers without power, which easily exceeds the 7 million in that situation following Irene. Numbers from New Jersey power companies Atlantic City Electric (NYSE:POM), and Jersey Central (NYSE:FE) and PSE&G comprise 2.3 million, while Consolidated Edison (NYSE:ED) reports 1.9 million without power in New York City. PECO (NYSE:EXC) and Conn. Light & Power (NYSE:NU) account for approximately 1 million.
