US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE:LCC) has retained Barclays Capital, Milstein & Co, Lathan and Watkins explore the options as they relate to AMR (AAMRQ) bankruptcy. Says expects AMR will remain in bankruptcy and anticipates it will be studying the situation for quite some time. Comments made on the Q4 earnings conference call.

The shares closed at $7.52, up $1.11, or 17.32%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.22 billion.

Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) says February trends appear largely consistent with what what it is seeing in January. Says March comps “get a bit more difficult,” but still expects double digit y/y growth.

The shares closed at $9.96, up $0.58, or 6.18%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $8.44 billion.

SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ:SKYW) reports Q4 results to reflect a net loss between $17M-$18.5M. There were three primary factors that contributed to SkyWest’s determination of the estimated net loss for Q4 of 2011. First, SkyWest’s operating airlines have incurred additional maintenance charges due to aging aircraft issues, timing and cost of heavy airframe checks, and the timing of certain engine overhauls. Second, SkyWest’s operating airlines continued to experience additional crew costs. Third, SkyWest maintains an ownership position in two international regional airlines, TRIP and Air Mekong. Sky West will report final Q4 results in mid-February.

The shares closed at $12.64, down $1.12, or 8.14%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $641.14 million.
