Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F): The Chicago Police Department has received about fifty new Ford Interceptor law enforcement vehicles made at the Ford Plant on the city’s South Side. The vehicles are part of a $15 million order for a total of five hundred sedans and SUVs.
General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) is recalling more than 145,000 pickup trucks because the hoods can fly open unexpectedly. GM does not know of any crashes or injuries caused by the problem.

Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM) will offer wireless charging in their 2013 Avalon high-end sedan. Chrysler also plans to offer a $200 wireless charging option in next year’s Dodge Dart, but will be handled by Mopar, the company’s after-market arm.
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (NYSE:HMC) is recalling certain model from the years 2003 and 2004 Pilot and Odyssey and 2003 through 2006 Acura MDX passenger vehicles manufactured from November 26th, 2001, through August 30th, 2006. The interlock lever of the ignition switch may deform, which can allow the interlock function of a vehicle with an automatic transmission to be defeated.
Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA): Given the bad state of Tesla Motors, Inc.’s finances and their high valuation of almost $4 billion, they will rank among the top candidates in Silicon Valley for a 2013 stock collapse unless they receive significantly more cash next year. The Palo Alto, California company’s financials are in worse shape even than such high-profile Internet IPO companies like Zynga and Groupon.
