AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL): Today, SHOP.CA announced plans to partner with AOL Canada to provide Canada’s great shopping to the public with the use of creative media content. The shares traded down $0.26 (0.93%) recently at $27.67.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) has been beta-testing the new iPad app, which has been called “really an application browser” by Netflix vice president of IT operations, Mike Kail.  The shares traded up $0.51 (0.62%) recently at $81.27.

Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE:TWC): A number of cable-TV operators, such as  Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, and Mediacom Communications, have begun publicly supporting satellite-TV rival DirecTV (NASDAQ:DTV) during its program-fee issues with Viacom (NYSE:VIAB), also stating that they do not plan in a marketing increase to capitalize on the situation, according to the Wall Street Times. The shares traded down $0.19 (0.22%) recently at $85.05.

DIRECTV, Inc. (NASDAQ:DTV) and Tribune Media Services (NYSE:TMS) announced a new agreement under which TMS’ best-in-class On Entertainment metadata will be used in DirecTV entertainment guides in Latin America to PanAmericana subscribers. By offering superior guides powered by TMS entertainment information, images, TV Showcards, and discovery capabilities, DirecTV Latin America should increase program offering consumption among existing subscribers as well as well as providing its customers with one of the best regional user experiences. The shares traded down $0.18 (0.37%) recently at $48.60.

Dish Network Corp. (NASDAQ:DISH): According to Blockbuster, which is a subsidiary of DISH Network Corporation, it has acquired the assets of Alpha Bay Corporation. The deal’s terms have not been disclosed. Alpha Bay’s specialty is software and services which provide cloud-based mobile point-of-service, inventory management, customer loyalty, and business intelligence capabilities to the retail industry. The shares traded down $0.06 (0.21%) recently at $28.84.
