Telus Revenue Guidance INCREASED by $50M and 4 Stocks Reaching 52-Week Highs

Shenandoah Telecommu (NASDAQ:SHEN): Shenandoah reports a Q2 EPS of 24c, one estimate 17c. The shares closed at $15.97, up $0.41 or 2.63% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $9.01 to $16.00.

Sanofi-Aventis Sa (NYSE:SNY) and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) confirmed that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the ZALTRAP Injection for Intravenous Infusion, combined with 5-fluorouracil, leucovorin, irinotecan, for patients suffering from metastatic colorectal cancer that is resistant to or has progressed after an oxaliplatin-containing regimen. Sanofi intends to make ZALTRAP available in the U.S. during Q3 of 2012. Beneath the terms of the collaboration agreement, Sanofi and Regeneron equally share the global profits of ZALTRAP following Regeneron’s obligation to repay its share of development expenses. Telus Corp. (NYSE:TU): The consolidated revenue guidance range has been raised by C$50 million because of an increase in the wireline revenue range. The consolidated EBITDA range has increased and narrowed – up by C$50 million on the top end because of a C$100 million increase in the wireless EBITDA range somewhat offset by a C$50 million reduction at the top of the wireline range. The bottom end of the consolidated EBITDA range is raised C$100 million because of the increase in the wireless range and no change to the bottom end of the wireline range. The approximate guidance for capital expenditures has been raised by 5 percent or C$100 million. The shares closed at $61.63, up $1.05 or 1.73% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $44.63 to $61.91.

Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC): Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD), could be forced to face tough conditions in order to talk regulators into approving its proposed deal with cable companies, reports Reuters, citing unnamed inside sources. Regulators are concerned regarding plans by Verizon and Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) to market each other’s products, as well as a new joint venture among Verizon and cable companies which would bring about new technologies, the news service added. The shares closed at $89.20, up $1.26 or 1.43% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $57.15 to $88.77.

Vodafone Group Plc (NASDAQ:VOD): Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone, could be forced to face tough conditions in order to talk regulators into approving its proposed deal with cable companies, reports Reuters, citing unnamed inside sources. Regulators are concerned regarding plans by Verizon and Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) to market each other’s products, as well as a new joint venture among Verizon and cable companies which would bring about new technologies, the news service added. The shares closed at $29.71, up $0.47 or 1.61% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $24.31 to $29.57.
