Saba Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:SABA): Saba announced that on April 5, 2012, the Audit Committee of its Board of Directors engaged counsel to assist the Committee in an independent accounting review. For that reason, the Company will not be in a position to release earnings or timely file its Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ended February 29, 2012, due April 9, 2012.

Research In Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ:RIMM): Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) may be ready to deliver its 4G Playbook, reports Gigaom.com after receiving new photos that popped up on CrackBerry forums. The new evidence follows unnamed sources that said the PlayBook would be available in April.

ClickSoftware Tech. Ltd. (NASDAQ:CKSW): ClickSoftware (NASDAQ:CKSW) is trading down over 13% this morning after the company provided Q1 revenue guidance of approximately $21.6M, versus the consensus estimate of $23.35M. The company’s Q1 revenues are poised to grow approximately 12% year over year, and backlog and bookings were healthy during the quarter, said ClickSoftware Chairman and CEO Dr. Moshe BenBassat. ClickSoftware’s guidance reflects only “seasonal Q1 softness,” though Q1 revenues were “somewhat below” expectations, BenBassat added. The company estimated that its cash, cash-equivalents, short and long-term investments were about $54.3M as of March 31. Additionally, the company reiterated its FY12 revenue guidance for $100M-$105M, consensus $102.85M. ClickSoftware is down $1.67, or 13.59%, to $10.89 in mid-morning trading.

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL): Praxair China (NYSE:PX) has won a new contract with Changzhou Trina Solar Energy (NYSE:TSL) to supply silane, ammonia, argon, nitrogen and oxygen to Trina Solar’s new production facility in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. Praxair China has been supplying Trina Solar’s other production facilities in the west and southeast sites of Trina Solar Industrial Park in Changzhou.
The shares closed at $6.11, down $0.48, or 7.28%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $485.13 million.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): AT&T (NYSE:T) is expected to spend $150M on ads for Nokia’s (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 900, a phone with only a 3.9% market share, Business Insider reports. The carrier will spend more on ads for the Lumia 900 than it spent promoting the iPhone (NASDAQ:AAPL), BI notes.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): AOL (NYSE:AOL) has entered into a definitive agreement to sell over 800 of its patents and their related patent applications to Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and to grant Microsoft a non-exclusive license to its retained patent portfolio for aggregate proceeds of $1.056B in cash. Following the sale, AOL will continue to hold a significant patent portfolio of over 300 patents and patent applications spanning core and strategic technologies, including advertising, search, content generation/management, social networking, mapping, multimedia/streaming, and security among others. AOL also received a license to the patents being sold to Microsoft. The patent sale includes the sale of the stock of an AOL subsidiary upon which AOL expects to record a capital loss for tax purposes and as a result, cash taxes in connection with the sale should be immaterial. Additionally, AOL expects to utilize approximately $40M of its existing deferred tax assets, representing approximately 20% of its total deferred tax assets, to offset any ordinary income taxes resulting from the license of its remaining patent portfolio.
