Tech Business Recap: Broadcom Working With Amazon’s Kindle, LinkedIn’s New Stats

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) is providing a Bluetooth/GPS/FM radio combination chip for the 7-inch Kindle Fire HD (NASDAQ:AMZN), says iFixit’s teardown. Texas Instruments Inc. (NYSE:TXN) supplied a similar chip for original Fire, but still provides a Wi-Fi chip and multiple power management ICs to go with its previously-announced OMAP 4460 application processor. Meanwhile, InvenSense (NASDAQ:INVN) is shipping a motion sensor.

LinkedIn (NYSE:LNKD) announces that it currently has more than 10 million registered users in the United Kingdom, which represents 4 out of every 5 professionals there. In addition, the business social networking company has recently claimed 62 percent of its more than160 million registered users currently come from international markets, but only one-third of its revenue from that source.
