Tech Biz Recap: Ericsson LEADS Bidding on Nokia Siemens, Facebook’s HIT Ads

LM Ericsson Telephone Company (NASDAQ:ERIC) is out in front in the bidding war to purchase Nokia Siemens Networks’ (NYSE:NOK)(NYSE:SI) business support systems, according to Dow Jones Newswires. Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE:DOX) is also thought interested in the operations, which supply billing and charging systems for telecom operators. The ultimate transaction could bring as much as €300 million.

Facebook’s (NASDAQ:FB) Sponsored Stories ads could produce $1.25 billion in revenue in 2013, according to Doug Anmuth at JPMorgan, with $921 million of that sum coming from mobile. The analyst has a price target of $30 on the shares, and also forecasts that total advertising sales will exceed $10.2 billion in 2016, with Sponsored Stories comprising nearly 50 percent of those sales.
