Tech Biz Recap: Verizon & Others Love Heavy Duty Video On TV

Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) and Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE:TWC) all want to become top providers of heavy duty video to TVs over their cable infrastructure, according to Bloomberg. Such a play would constitute another major danger to console makers such as Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), adding to the one already posed by smartphone games. But one minor thing they will first have to do is to get the technology right.
