EI DuPont de Nemours & Company’s (NYSE:DD) acquisition of Arkema is said by Deutsche Bank to not be likely at the present time, according to the Financial Times’ Alphaville blog. Deutsche did comment, however, that investors would probably react favorably if DuPont or BASF were to make an offer.
Tenneco Inc.’s (NYSE:TEN) and Navistar’s (NYSE:NAV) conversations with Goldman indicate that Navistar’s sourcing decision on the selective catalytic reduction units for its new Class-8 truck engines has not yet been made and so remains open, in the face of previous headlines to the contrary. At the same, the analyst thinks that Tenneco is till a good candidate for the business.
Brandywine Realty Trust’s (NYSE:BDN) newly announced strategy for reinforcing its balance sheet and the improvement of its operations, has Argus keeping its Buy and also confident that the new strategy will be viewed positively by investors.
Seagate Technology’s (NASDAQ:STX) reduction of its fourth quarter guidance has led Argus lower its target, although it keeps its Buy rating on basis of valuation.
