Revenue: Rose 14.3% to $468.9 million from the year-earlier quarter.

Actual vs. Wall St. Expectations: Stericycle Inc. fell short of the mean analyst estimate of 80 cents per share. Analysts were expecting revenue of $467.7 million.

The company has seen double-digit year-over-year percentage revenue growth for the past five quarters. Over that span, the company has averaged growth of 15.5%, with the biggest boost coming in the second quarter of the last fiscal year when revenue rose 18% from the year earlier quarter.

The company has now seen net income rise in three straight quarters. In the first quarter, net income rose 16.5% and in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the figure rose 28.6%.

After beating analyst estimates for the two previous quarters, the company fell short of forecasts. In the first quarter, it topped the mark by 2 cents, and in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, it was ahead by 2 cents.

Looking Forward: Expectations for the third quarter have not changed from 82 cents. The average estimate for the fiscal year is $3.26 per share, a rise from $3.23 ninety days ago.
