J&J faces over 10,000 pending lawsuits related to the ASR XL hip device and over 1,800 lawsuits related to its surgical mesh implant. J&J has denied any negligence but has set aside over $1 billion to cover legal and recall expenses.
Johnson & Johnson shares fell 1 cent to close at $76.25 on Friday.
