Radar Movers: BlackBerry Surges on Million-Unit Order, Amazon Cuts Kindle Prices

Shares of BlackBerry (NASDAQ:BBRY) surged more than 8 percent on Wednesday and continue to climb higher in late afternoon hours. The company announced that one of its “established partners” placed an order for one million BlackBerry 10 smartphones. This is the largest shipment from a single order in BlackBerry’s history and it will ship immediately. Speculation is building that the order is from a major carrier such as AT&T (NYSE:T) or Verizon (NYSE:VZ).
