Pfizer & Endo Settle with Texas, Affymax Partners with Takeda: Healthcare Business Recap

Medical fraud allegations between Pfizer and Endo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ENDP) and the state of Texas have been resolved, with an excess of $36 million going to the latter, says the Attorney General. Each firm will pay the state $18.2 million, along with attorney fees and relator shares. The accord comes after Texas and the Attorney General charged the companies with defrauding Medicaid in previously sealed cases, in which they allegedly misreported the price of generic drugs to the Medicaid program.
