The French conglomerate Lagardère Groupe (LGDDF.PK) announced on Tuesday that it might divest its 7.5 percent interest in European Aeronautic (EADSY.PK) by the end of 2013. Chief Executive Arnaud Lagardère promised to use proceeds from such a sale towards rewarding shareholders, reducing debt and to fund minor acquisitions; he is also chairman of EADS. The problem with the latter’s shareholders – their instability – is becoming more well known, and it is said that Daimler (DDAIF.PK) might also leave its position in the company.

Papa John’s (NASDAQ:PZZA) is being sued in the United States District Court in Seattle for allegedly sending spam emails to perhaps as many as a half a million of its customers. If successful, the class action suit could bring the plaintiffs more that $250 million in damages, or a minimum of $500 apiece. Attorney Donald W, Heyrich for the plaintiffs said that “Many customers complained to Papa John’s that they wanted the text messages to stop, and yet thousands of spam text messages were sent week after week.”
Qatar Airways wants to be The Boeing Company’s (NYSE:BA) first customer if the latter decides to build the 787-10, which would be a bigger version of the firm’s Dreamliner. Boeing Commercial Airplanes President Ray Conner reports that the company is in discussions with the State of Qatar and other carriers in regards to an elongated model of the plane that would be constructed with composite plastics, as opposed to aluminum, adding that he may soon request approval by the Board for permission to initiate the selling of the plane.
