Ocwen Enters Agreement With Altisource and 3 Stocks Enjoying 52-Week Highs

Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) now says that patient enrollment in a landmark evaluation of its InPact Amphirion drug-eluting balloon is complete, and that initial resultsare expected in 2013. InPact Deep represents the largest randomized controlled trial of its kind, and is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of the InPact Amphirion drug-eluting balloon as a treatment for one of the most severe forms of peripheral artery disease which is critical limb ischemia that occurs below the knee. Shares closed up 1.48 percent on the day at $44.67 having been traded in a 52-week range of $32.26 to $44.07.

3M Company’s (NYSE:MMM) 3M Unitek and 3M Innovative Properties Co. report that they have brought a lawsuit against RMO, or Rocky Mountain Orthodontics – Lingual Jet, which alleges infringement of 3M’s patent that is related to lingual orthodontic braces in Los Angeles. The plaintiff asserts that United States Patents 6,776,614, 7,811,087, and 7,850,451, each entitled Modular System for Customized Orthodontic Appliances to cover 3M Unitek Incognito Lingual Braces. 3M also said that 3M Unitek, which does business as TOP-Service für Lingulatechnik GmbH, is bringing infringement proceedings in France under European Patent 1474064 against RMO Europe along with Lingual Jet. The Patent 1474064, Modular System for Customized Orthodontic Appliances covers 3M Unitek Incognito Lingual Braces as well, and is registered in France. Shares closed up 0.56 percent on the day at $94.96, and have traded in a 52-week range of $73.07 to $94.53.

National Financial Partners Corp. (NYSE:NFP) reports that it has granted 12,484 restricted stock units to Anne Long, who has been named president of NFP Life and a member of the Advisory Board of PartnersFinancial. Shares closed up 0.29 percent on the day at $17.41, having been traded in a 52-week range of $11.01 to $17.55.

Ocwen Financial Corporation’s (NYSE:OCN) wholly owned subsidiary, Ocwen Mortgage Servicing, has reached services agreements with Altisource Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Altisource Solutions S. Altisource will supply certain services to OMS, among which include: a Technology Products Services Agreement, through which Altisource will provide certain tech products services to OMS in connection with its business; a Services Agreement, by which Altisource will provide certain services to OMS in connection with its business; a Data Center and Disaster Recovery Agreement, from which Altisource will supply certain data center and disaster recovery services to OMS in connection with its business; and an Intellectual Property Agreement that governs the licensing of intellectual property between OMS and Altisource. All the above services are aimed at pricing terms that should reflect market rates. Shares closed down 0.78 percent on the day at $36.75, and have been traded in a 52-week range of $12.71 to $37.31.
