Nokia Will Offer Free Netflix to Device Buyers and 2 More Heavily Traded Stocks to Follow
Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK): Current price $6.64
During the process in which Nokia is divesting its handset business to Microsoft, the Financial Times reports that it will offer one year of free Netflix to customers who buy its devices on Vodafone. In September, Nokia announced that it was selling its handset business to Microsoft for $7.2 billion, but until is finalized, the firm wants to optimize what it may of that unit. The FT says that Nokia will be paying the bill for the majority of this giveaway but Netflix has been pushing assertively to move into Europe, and so probably would be willing to cover a part of the bill.
