Nokia (NYSE:NOK) strikes an innovative deal with audio and “infotainment” systems maker Harman (NYSE:HAR) for the development of Wi-Fi audio products for Lumia smartphones. The phones will connect to the audio device using Bluetooth and for phones running on Windows 8, using Near Field Communication (AMEX:NFC).

Costco (NASDAQ:COST) reports total August sales at $7.4 billion, up 8 percent y-on-y with comparable store sales up 6 percent against estimates of 4.5 percent. Comparable international store sales are up 4 percent and U.S. comparable store sales are higher by 7 percent.
Automaker Volvo (VOLVY.PK), who is due to report results for its first half next week, responds to lower sales by cutting jobs and reducing production by 10 percent, as revealed by a union exec.
Limited Brand (NYSE:LTD) reports sales of $665.6 million, down 5.2 percent while same store sales are up 8 percent. Results are boosted by strong revenues at the Victoria’s Secret stores which are up 9 percent, and come on top of strong 2011 sales growth proving the brand’s evergreen appeal.
