The analyst predicts that the break up will be a positive move, including the opportunity for the firm to obtain more attractive valuations as pure entity plays. Additionally, Cowen thinks the sun-of-the-parts valuation will provide a notable upside for investors. Shares closed up 2.42 percent on the day at $22.83, having been traded between $13.38 and $22.73 for the past 52 weeks.
Onyx Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ONXX) reports that the firm has begun enrollment in the Endeavor trial, a Phase 3 trial evaluating Kyprolis in combination with dexamethasone, compared against bortezomib with dexamethasone in patients suffering from relapsed multiple myeloma. A New Drug Application is being evaluated by the FDA for potential accelerated approval of Kyprolis in the U.S. for the treatment of patients with relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma, who have received at least two prior lines of therapy among which a proteasome inhibitor and an immunomodulatory agent were included. Shares closed up 2.2 percent on the day at $67.91, having been traded between $27.17 and $67.62 the last 52 weeks.
Pacific Gas & Electric Company (NYSE:PCG) will file a proposed two-year energy efficiency portfolio with the California Public Utilities Commission that if approved, would reinforce the company’s industry-leading programs. The proposal would allow PG&E to invest $433 million yearly, which is about the same as current levels for two years to continue energy efficiency programs that would enable customers to obtain energy savings equal to more than 277 megawatts of electricity and 52 million therms of natural gas. Shares closed up 0.55 percent on the day at $45.52 and have been traded in a 52-week range between $36.84 and $45.56.
Sxc Health Solutions (NASDAQ:SXCI) shares closed down 2.25 percent at $96.98, having been traded in a 52-week range between $40.36 and $103.97.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) retail stores will have the Samsung Galaxy S III on July 6th. Shares closed up 1.46 percent on the day at $36.18, and have traded in a 52-week range of $27.29 to $36.00.
