Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX): According to Piper Jaffray’s comparison of the streaming media libraries of Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Videos (NASDAQ:AMZN), and Hulu (NYSE:DIS), Netflix still has the best overall streaming library. Piper states that though there have been rumors recently, competitors have not made much of a material change. The firm maintains its Overweight rating on Netlix shares with a $130 price target. The shares traded down $0.7 (1.1%) recently at $62.74.
Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA): At the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co Strategic Decisions Conference, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts said “If I knew I wouldn’t answer it” and “I don’t think anyone speaks for Apple except for Apple.” Bernstein also reported that he sees less reliance on the set-top box, and he does not believe it will be eliminated. Furthermore, he expects 65,000 people to use mobile bill pay within the month. The shares traded down $0.23 (0.8%) recently at $28.68.
DIRECTV, Inc. (NASDAQ:DTV): DIRECTV CEO Mike White recently revealed that the company is “tough-minded” on content costs, and the more loyal customers to the brand reside in Latin America than elsewhere. The shares traded down $0.29 (0.65%) recently at $44.16.
