Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is likely happy with the decision by District Judge Denise Cote approving an antitrust settlement whereby publishers such as Lagardere’s Hachette, CBS’s (NYSE:CBS) Simon & Schuster and News Corp.’s (NASDAQ:NWS) HarperCollins agree to put a stop to alleged price-fixing e-book deals with Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). However, Pearson’s (NYSE:PSO) Penguin, Macmillan and Apple will be slugging it out in trial.
