Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) Enterprise Services said that Softbank Mobile Corporation is utilizing a Hewlett-Packard online storefront solution through which to offer its more than 29 million customers in Japan a quick, easy way to shop for, download and manage both wireless services and entertainment content.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) reports that Treasuries are ahead of all other U.S. fixed-income securities for the first time in three quarters, as investors worldwide search for the safest assets, according to a Bloomberg report.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) executives were taken aback by Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) ‘aggressive’ efforts to secure innovative materials for the iPad and then corner the market on those supplies, says the New York Times, whose reporters checked the matter with former Hewlett Packard and Microsoft executives involved with the Slate project, who also related how the device faced major design and software problems, as it was developed after CEO Steven Ballmer announced the product.
Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) and Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY) reported that the FDA has provided a Complete Response Letter concerning the New Drug Application for Eliquis, for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients suffering from nonvalvular atrial fibrillation. The firms say that they will closely cooperate with the agency on the appropriate next steps for the Eliquis application, and that no new studies have been requested. However, the Letter did ask for additional information on data management and verification from the Arisotle trial. Additionally, the firms continue to progress the Eliquis application in markets outside of the United States, including the European Union and Japan, based on the Aristotle and Averroes studies.
