Microsoft  is said to be in discussions with Asus regarding a potential licensing deal to offer Windows 8 mobile phones, according to The Wall Street Journal, which noted that Asus partnered with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) on its Nexus 7 tablet but is still widely perceived as a PC maker.
