Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): According to a person with knowledge of the matter, Intel Corporation’s delayed delivery of software that conserves computer battery life is holding up development of some tablets that are running the latest version of Microsoft’s Windows operating system. Microsoft has not yet approved any tablets that feature an Intel processor code named Clover Trail, because the chip maker has not produced the necessary power management software.
Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM): According to a new study, Microsoft Windows Phone’s operating system is gaining ground on Research In Motion Limited, but it still has a long way to go before catching up with Android and iOS. Windows Phone is vying with RIM for third place in Europe as low-end devices like the Nokia 610 which sells in key markets such as Italy and France.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): According to Reuters, the 9th United States Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco stated that Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Motorola Mobility unit cannot enforce a patent injunction that they obtained against Microsoft Corporation in Germany. This has hurt Google’s leverage in the smartphone patent battle.
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU): Micron Technology, Inc.’s embedded solutions group (ESG) remains a shining star. They posted an operating margin of 25% revenue of $285 million while the wireless segment underperformed with an operating margin of negative 35%. This underscores a weakness in their feature phone demand. Enterprise Solid-State-Drive’s (NYSE:SSD) revenue also grew in the quarter as the company saw strong design-win traction with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO): Cisco Systems Inc., is helping banks in India to comply with national government’s instructions by introducing an ATM solution for ATM (automated teller machines) facility deployment in far off places of the country. Banks in India know that they have to keep producing innovative and cheaper Information Technology solutions to fully comply with the strict regulatory requirements. “Connected ATM Solutions” can be run for both primary use and backup applications as it includes Cisco’s integrated services routers with 3G wireless and CDMA (2.5G) connectivity that is based on 3G wireless WAN high-speed interface card.
