Top United States aerospace and defense companies such as Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC), The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA), and others are considering their responses to European Aeronautic’s (EADSY.PK) proposed merger with BAE Systems (BAESY.PK), according to the Wall Street Journal. There are several options available, which include opposing the link-up, or attempting to create their own arrangements, although few observers expect that companies will make immediate moves.

The genomics company BGI-Shenzhen will acquire Complete Genomics, Inc. (NASDAQ:GNOM) for $3.15 per share through a tender offer. This price would represent a 54 percent premium over Friday’s close.
