Mergers and Acquisitions Review: Autodesk PURCHASES Inforbix Assets, Facebook In TALKS OVER Waze

Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK) has acquired certain of the assets of privately held Inforbix, which develops software for the cloud-based product lifecycle management Parametric Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:PMTC). The buyer competes both with Parametric and Dassault Systemes SA (DASTY) in the PLM space, and intends to join Inforbix’s tech to its cloud-based PLM360 suite. Further, Inforbix co-founder Oleg Shilovitsky will become the Senior Director of PLM and Data Management.

Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) is in discussions with the traffic and navigation application developer Waze perhaps concerning a purchase, says Globes. Waze’s applications are dependant upon users to provide data about local accidents, traffic, and gas prices, among other current happenings. The synergies with Facebook status updates are obvious.
