Alibaba has apparently acquired the $3 billion loan it needs to take Alibaba.com private again, a move meant to pave the way for a deal to buy back Yahoo’s (NASDAQ:YHOO) stake.

TNT already rejected a $6.4 billion buyout offer from UPS, and the Dutch delivery giant may soon be fielding an offer from FedEx (NYSE:FDX). Such a deal could be a “once-in-a lifetime” opportunity for FedEx to create a strong global parcel franchise, according to Portfolio manager Katrina Dudley.

Jamba Juice (NASDAQ:JMBA) says that it has acquired premium tea maker Talbott Teas for an undisclosed amount.

European Union regulators are being lobbied by Vivendi’s Universal Music for approval to buy EMI’s recording business from Citigroup (NYSE:C). IMPALA, the Indie music trade association, is reiterating its opposition to the deal, and Vivendi’s proposed acquisition may not get the permission or regulators, as the combined company would control over 50 percent of music sales in certain European countries.

eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) has agreed to buy WHI Solutions, “a provider of software and digital catalog solutions for auto parts distributors and retailers.” The acquisition should enable eBay Motors to offer an improved parts selection to buyers and also allow retailers and distributors to reach more customers.
