Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB): As a way to pressure Instagram and Facebook, Google has acquired the leading iOS photo app Snapseed. The $4.99 app won Apple’s iPad App Of The Year award in 2011 for its innovative multitouch photo editing interface, and it has gotten more than nine million users after being on sale for only a year. Additionally, Nik Software sells Snapseed for Mac and Windows and is in the process of developing an Android app as well.

LinkedIn Corporation (NYSE:LNKD) has claimed it has passed a milestone of 10 million members in the U.K., representing four out of five professional workers in the country. This means that membership is twice what it was in 2010, and it launched in the U.K. in 2007. The shares traded down $0.26 (0.21%) recently at $121.14.
Groupon, Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN): On Monday, Raymond James analysts, led by Aaron Kessler, have released a survey of over 100 Groupon merchants which shows that these partners aren’t sure about working with the company. The survey indicated that 16 percent of merchants were “very satisfied” when they ran a Groupon promotion as 37 percent were “satisfied.” A third were either “unsatisfied” or “very unsatisfied,” and 39 percent of Groupon merchants stated that they probably would not run another Groupon deal over the upcoming years, according to Kessler’s note to investors. The shares traded down $0.01 (0.32%) recently at $4.74.
Zynga, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZNGA) has confirmed, on its blog, its acquisition of A Bit Lucky. No details of the acquisition were revealed, but Zynga said that the deal as “small”. The shares traded up $0.00 (0.00%) recently at $3.08.
Yelp, Inc. (NYSE:YELP): Nearly 25 percent of the company’s unique users are from mobile phones, and its mobile applications are currently used on 7.2 million devices each month, which is a 70 percent increase year-over-year. There are no ads on Yelp’s mobile app, and and it has no monetization on the platform. The shares traded down $0.87 (3.39%) recently at $24.83.
