OmniVision Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:OVTI): According to Needham, its channel checks suggest that Sony (NYSE:SNE) has retained its position at Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), as supplier of the 8MP back-camera sensor for the anticipated iPhone 5. The firm thinks OmniVision (NASDAQ:OVTI) will supply the 1.3 MP front-sensors, as well as an extra pixel for image. Because Needham expected Apple to use dual-source for the 8MP sensor socket between OmniVision and Sony, it reduced its estimates for OmniVision after the channel checks. The firm maintains a Buy rating but lowered its price target to $18 from $24 on the stock.
