Leap Wireless International Inc. (NASDAQ:LEAP) reported a Q3 net profit totaling $27 million resulting from a $130 million net gain that comes from an exchange of spectrum licenses. The company’s revenue for the quarter totaled $774 million versus $763 million during 2011′s Q3. Leap is a wireless communications carrier offering digital wireless services in the United States under the Cricket brand.

MetroPCS Communications, Inc. (NYSE:PCS) has partnered with the XIII Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, showing its support for Hispanic arts and entertainment. The company intends to set up charging stations for Latin GRAMMY guests intended to ensure that they are able to stay connected. The company’s goal is to provide an exceptional mobile consumer experience, and it is now giving a new experience by sending fans to Las Vegas on November 15 to attend the XIII Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards for two days. Level 3 Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT) stated that it signed an agreement with Tulane University to provide network services supporting the university’s business continuity infrastructure. Tulane University has signed a multi-year agreement with Level 3 to gain reliable internet access and Ethernet private line services for support of its critical business continuity needs.
Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR): Telespree Communications announced an agreement providing real-time 4G data usage monitoring services to Clearwire Corporation, which is a top provider of 4G mobile broadband services in the U.S. Clearwire is to leverage Telespree’s on-device service enablement, active session monitoring, real-time charging, and proactive alerting services to deliver a wide range of capabilities supporting their mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) wholesale customers spanning its portfolio of data devices. ”Telespree is a preferred partner and its Mobile Services Platform enables Clearwire to offer enhanced 4G mobile broadband services to our wholesale partners and their customers,” stated Rick Hausman, who is VP of Wholesale Operations at Clearwire. “Telespree’s real-time capabilities increase the flexibility and competitiveness of our wholesale 4G offering in the marketplace.
