Kraft Foods (NYSE:KFT) paid $150 million to assume total control of Bimo, a biscuit company owned by the Moroccan ruling family.

McDonald’s (NYSE:MCD) reported a good month for sales in August. Same-store sales were up 3.7 percent with U.S. sales rising 3 percent helped by heavy breakfast traffic. European sales climbed 3.1 percent while the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) segment grew 5.7% for the month.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) launched a new version of its YouTube app that runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The new app is not pre-loaded on Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices but will feature advertising as a first, and a huge number of additional videos. In an interesting sidelight, Google informs that daily video views on mobile devices now average a billion a day.
