John Hogan has been chosen by JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) as its Chief Risk Officer, Additional appointments by the company include Doug Petno as CEO of its commercial banking unit, and Barry Zubrow as head of corporate and regulatory affairs, this according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg.
Citi’s Glen Yeung was impressed by the performance of a prototype phone relying on Medfield, a company that faces tough competition from a large number of ARM-based (NASDAQ:ARMH) processor lines, reports Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC). At the same time, Yeung is encouraged by Intel’s recent deals (I, II) with Motorola and Lenovo for its latest Atom chips, code-named Medfield, if they provide Intel with some needed momentum in the smartphone/tablet space.
Barclays raises the price target of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) to $22 from $20, believing that given its late cycle business mix and service aftermarket strength, General Electric earnings can outgrow its peers in 2012 . GE’s hares are rated Overweight .
