Is Apple Secretly Planning Video Game Market Dominance?

Although rumors of an Apple TV (NASDAQ:AAPL) update with a possible SDK (software development kit) release this spring have already been discounted by respected Apple analyst Jim Dalrymple, many others believe that a significant project related to the Apple TV product may be still be in the works. The next big Apple TV-related event may not happen this spring, but it could still happen later this year.

A recent Apple job posting featured on 9to5Mac seeks an “engineering manager” who will help “bring the Apple experience to the living room.” Some analysts believe that the next television-related announcement from Apple will feature an update to the Apple TV digital media receiver product, perhaps with a focus on improved integration with other Apple products, or even an SDK release that will allow third-party developers to create complementary applications.
