Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) had trouble meeting consumer demand for their popular iPad Mini last quarter, but it appears delivery times are shortening as Apple suppliers ramp up production. According to sources cited by DigiTimes, AU Optronics (NYSE:AUO) has increased production of the iPad Mini panels, which will help to further reduce delivery delays for the popular iPad Mini. With supplies of the iPad Mini display stabilizing, AU Optronics will reportedly be turning its attention to the production of displays for the second-generation of iPad Minis.

Delayed shipping times for the iPad Mini last quarter were as high as one month but have now dropped to as low as one to three days, with many online Apple stores in various countries beginning to offer the iPad Mini for immediate shipping.

Apple CEO Tim Cook predicted that the company would “be able to meet demand for this product in the March quarter,” during the quarterly earnings call in January, although he also admitted that “we wish we could have made more.”
