Is Apple Dropping This Solid Mac HINT?

In the clearest sign yet that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is ready to upgrade its Mac line, apps on its computer app store are have begun being updated with retina-ready graphics. According to TheNextWeb, the Mac App Store tool Folderwatch, which monitors and syncs important files automatically, included an addition in its update notes that said “Retina graphics” were a new addition.

New Mac hardware is expected to launch next week at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, and new retina displays are one of the features that are rumored to have been added to at least the MacBook Pro.

Apple has been rumored to have already made a deal with Sharp to supply these high-resolution displays for the next-generation iPad.

Other expected updates to the Mac line include fast Ivy Bridge processors from Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), USB 3.0, and the omission of an optical drive.
