Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ:CERN) reported net income above Wall Street’s expectations for the first quarter. Net income for Cerner Corporation rose to $88.7 million (52 cents per share) vs. $64.6 million (38 cents per share) in the same quarter a year earlier. This marks a rise of 37.4% from the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose 30.4% to $641.2 million from the year-earlier quarter. Cerner Corporation reported adjusted net income of 54 cents per share. By that measure, the company beat the mean estimate of 47 cents per share. It beat the average revenue estimate of $578.4 million.
