Barnes & Noble (NYSE:BKS) may be releasing a new Nook Color this month, according to DigiTimes. Earlier this year, the Nook Color helped B&N top Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) to become the nation’s number one e-reader vendor during the first quarter.

Nike (NYSE:NKE) is apologizing to Nike+ users over the performance of its online platform, designed to engage runners with social interaction and data, over the last few months. One of many problems includes an incompatibility with Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) IE9.
Analysts are projecting iPhone (NASDAQ:AAPL) sales to decline in September as potential buyers await the much-anticipated iPhone 5, though they predict fourth quarter sales will more than make up for the slowdown. Analysts also project that Sprint (NYSE:S) getting the iPhone could result in a price war between it and rivals AT&T (NYSE:T) and Verizon (NYSE:VZ).
AT&T (NYSE:T) may have to sell up to 25% of T-Mobile’s business, including airwaves and customers, in order to gain government approval of the acquisition after the Department of Justice filed a suit to block the $39 billion deal on concerns that it violated antitrust laws.
Starz Entertainment (NASDAQ:LSTZA) has ended its deal to provide movies to Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), cutting off one of the online video service’s most valuable sources of recently released movies, including Sony Pictures (NYSE:SNE) and Disney (NYSE:DIS) films. The current deal, struck in 2008, will expire in February 2012.
Wi-Lan (WILN) is joining Openwave (NASDAQ:OPWV) in suing multiple companies, including Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Dell (NASDAQ:DELL), and Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ), and Kyocera (NYSE:KYO), for wireless patent infringement.
Samsung is denying rumors that it is considering acquiring Hewlett-Packard’s (NYSE:HPQ) webOS platform. Last month, it also had to quash rumors it would buy HP’s PC division.
