Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): Current price $21.07

The corporation’s media group continues its hiring spree as it gets ready to debut an Internet television service later in 2013, and will add some 60 persons to its staff of more than 300, according to spokesman Jon Carvill to Associated Press. He predicted the group could number 400 within the next six months, compared to under 100 a year ago. The trend signals a major divergence from its core business of manufacturing chips for personal computers, and Intel plans to sell consumers a television set-top box that offers live programming, along with on-demand content in small bundles. The service would go further than products currently offered by Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), and others.
